Portfolio > Absence of Permanence

Absence of Permanence is an installation that attempts to bridge traditional and digital art by merging the polarized mediums. A database of imagery from original paintings were created to become the basis of generative motion graphics. The motion graphics are projection mapped onto- and from- two facing 3D printed sculptures. Painting, or “original’ material, is transformed into digital not only by its reproduction, but also by functioning as a variable. Digital is materialized with the fabrication of the digitally designed sculptures. The environment is the symbiosis of one of a kind and digital reproduction.
